Family Planning/Reproductive & Sexual Health/Early Intervention Staff Orientation (FP/R&SH/EI)

This guide will assist health workers in the field of WI Family Planning and Reproductive Health (FP/R&SH/EI) Care: 

  • Gain a better understanding of the fundamentals of WI FP/R&SH/EI.  
  • Learn the top patient messages to deliver on FP/R&SH/EI topics.  
  • Incorporate facts (either developed by DPH or other reliable sources) into the education process, for themselves and their clients.  
  • Observe appropriate skills and standards of practice as modeled by health care professionals.

STEP I:

Read "Guiding Principles", fundamentals developed by the Division of Public Health for Wisconsin family planning and reproductive health agencies.

STEP II:

Review the “Top Three Links” for each topic listed above, located in the Resource Center.

STEP III:

Read “Just the Basics” materials provided for each topic listed below, located in the Resource Center:

In the future, DPH will require completion of a “Just the Basics” staff orientation.  We are currently revising this section in addition to developing a pre-and post-test for submission to DPH.
